City of Busselton, Multi Site
308kw
The City of Busselton is a fast-growing organisation delivering a vast range of facilities and services for its growing community. Governed by a Council consisting of nine elected members elected by the whole district, the City manages facilities such as the Busselton-Margaret River Regional Airport, Geographe Leisure Centre, Naturaliste Community Centre, libraries, ArtGeo and the Kookaburra Caravan Park. It also delivers services such as planning and building approvals, environmental health inspections, events management, ranger and fire services, youth, aged and other community services, waste management, road construction and maintenance, parks and gardens maintenance and much more.
West Australian Alternative Energy was chosen by the City of Busselton to design and install a 99kw solar system for the main administration building in 2018. The system features 338 solar panels and is designed to reduce the City’s day time dependence on the electricity grid and to meet it’s environmental sustainability targets.
In 2019 WAAE was again chosen to install solar on an additional four buildings including the Busselton Library, Geographe Leisure Centre, Naturaliste Community Centre and Depot.
